Biography
Daniel Teweles has spent his career leading some of our time's most innovative ideas, brands, and movements from niche success to the global mainstream. He has an operational understanding of what it takes to effect change in today's world.

Daniel is the Co-Founder/CMO of Étiquette Winery, a revolutionary alcohol free winery based in Copenhagen.

Previously, as the VP of Strategy, Policy, and Communications at Latch, (Nasdaq: LTCH), Daniel led Latch's corporate affairs and marketing functions from post-series B through its successful public listing. His tenure included launching LatchOS, Latch's signature software platform, Latch's entry into the commercial office market, and delivering a significant legislative victory. Helping steer the company through volatile markets, Daniel's work resulted in a successful SPAC, de-SPAC, and public listing, record employee engagement, favorable media coverage in top tier outlets including the Wall Street Journal, New York Times, TechCrunch, and CNBC, and Latch's first codified, fully integrated set of company values.

As Chief of Staff to Paul Romer, Nobel Laureate and former Chief Economist, World Bank, Daniel was responsible for translating Paul's novel ideas into tangible policy solutions, including shaping the global conversations on both the proactive regulation of big technology (resulting in passing the first ever digital ad tax law), and the adoption of mass testing in response to COVID-19 (resulting in $25b from the U.S. Congress). This work involved advising the most senior of private and public sector leaders, and working with governments and elected officials to craft new legislation in multiple jurisdictions. Daniel managed Paul's personal office and staff, as well as his strategic relationships with Silicon Valley, Brussels, Washington, Beijing, and beyond. In addition, Daniel co/ghost-authored op-eds in the NY Times, Wall Street Journal, and Financial Times.

As the founder and CEO of Global Natives, a strategic communications and digital innovation agency headquartered in London, Daniel led a variety of culture-defining projects. He helped demystify meditation in the west (Headspace), and build a grassroots counter-extremism movement in Pakistan (Khudi). He led the design of a tech-based warning system for mass rape in the Democratic Republic of the Congo (IWPR/United Nations), and made the online world of Harry Potter more inclusive (Pottermore).

Daniel's work has helped, create a new type of city designed to accelerate human progress (Charter Cities), rebrand a Hollywood icon (Jennifer Grey), and build new entertainment brands.

Long at the bleeding edge of leveraging digital technology to create offline impact, Daniel authored the digital strategies of J.K. Rowling, Robert Galbraith (J.K. Rowling's pseudonym), and Harry Potter, coordinated the White House's first-ever webcast (on the United States' response to the crisis in Darfur), and co-developed the content strategy for YouTube's first government channel (Israeli Defense Forces).

After beginning his career at Israel's Ministry of Foreign Affairs, where he engaged in public diplomacy on behalf of the Israeli government in America, Daniel went on to lead a public infrastructure development project in East Africa (S.M.R.C.), restructure one of the world's largest student activist organizations in Washington, DC (STAND), manage America's largest political crowdsourcing platform (10Questions), and scale a venture-backed, global technology accelerator focused on impact in Silicon Valley (Kairos Society).

Daniel's speechwriting credits include TED talks, a Nobel Prize address, and remarks for multiple heads of state. He has taught at the School of Design Strategies at Parsons/The New School, and actively advises and invests in early-stage technology companies.

Daniel is a recipient of the U.S. Congressional Medal of Merit, an Echenberg Human Rights Fellowship at McGill University, and is a member of the U.K. Government's Global Entrepreneur Programme. His work has been covered in hundreds of top tier press outlets worldwide.
